Got mine from the dealer at $999. It is not lockable and in reading the brochure I learned that it was not intended to be weather proof. Since the only to obvious reasons for a tonneau cover are for security and weather protection, this cover is useless.

You can tell the manufacturer worked with Honda to design this cover, it seems very well constructed and is a breeze to install. Yes, it won't seal completely, it really never could considering there are gaps between the tailgate and bed and between the sides and the end wall, 6 in total. If this is a problem, the 4 gaps at the front of the bed could be greatly improved with some pieces of foam strips (with adhesive backing). As far as the tailgate not locking goes, the truck was built and sold as such... definitely not the fault of the cover. And lastly, if you are concerned that the cover could be stolen (since the tailgate is not locked), I suggest replacing the wingnut with a standard nut so any potential thief would have to have tools... just an idea. I also screwed the wingnut onto the standard nut for redundancy. Really like this cover!

I bought this OEM cover second hand and it does everything it is supposed to...it covers the bed and is secure, but not LOCKED. Most covers are NOT 100% leak proof. To expect that is unreasonable at best. Not having to install a rail on either side of the bed, for it to "lock" to, is a huge plus since you're able to replace the bed tie downs brackets with modified brackets supplied with this cover. Also, if you didn't know it, Extang has a newer version of the rear EZ-Lock Clamps that makes working with the clamps SO EASY. Here is the new clamp part number (31003005) for replace the old ones (EX1035). They're only $11 from Extang with flat $ shipping in US.
Well worth the $$$$ for ease of use. No, I don't work for Extang, just very happy a dealer turned me on to the new handle clamps.

Wish I had seen this sight before paying full price from Honda. Only thing is really gives you no security as the tailgate does not lock.

Easy to install and the fit is very good. Light enough for removal/installation with one person and only two simple wing nuts to tighten. Easy access to two-thirds of the bed without complete removal.

Had several similar covers on other trucks. Did not think there was room for improvement. Wrong! The brackets used to secure the cover on my 2017 Ridgeline are much more secure; do no damage to the bed sides and are easier to use. Did I mention the extra bright yellow [you can"t see them] tie down straps under the front of the cover? Nice safety item.

This is a Very Good tonneau cover, although if you are going to put a rack on the bed rails you are out of luck. Having said that, to all the people who say that it is not water proof, NO tonneau cover, tri-fold, rolling or otherwise, are “waterproof.” We have had some hard rains in the last year and there is a trickle that comes through but nothing significant. What the hell are you putting in a truck bed that can’t take a bit of moisture? Jeez. And as far as locking, you CAN secure it. It does not “lock” but then none of them do. There are latches that secure the last panel and they prevent it from being pulled up. SO, if you lock your tailgate, it’s SECURE!. Not perfect but if you had a Pilot and there was something valuable inside, a broken window is all it would take to get at it. And, there’s always the bed “well” that is ALSO lockable. Good edition to my truck.

Just installed this on my 2019 Ridgeline. Installation couldn't have been easier (although you do need to have a Torx socket or wrench, size T50). Thanks to the other reviews I knew what I was getting as it relates to only opening up two thirds of the bed area, but that is not a big deal for me. In the rare case I might need to haul a washer/dryer or ATV it's simple enough to remove the whole thing - no tools needed!
