For drain and refill you'll need 3.5 bottles of ATF DW1 for 2009 V6 Honda Accord.

Be very careful you order the correct fluid for your CVT. HCF2 is used in the new 2013+ models but is not currently (3/2015) shown in "Fits:" list for this product.

Way to go Bernardi, you have updated the site to show the second gen ATF fluid. Kudos to your customer support! You are the best!

7 years and 11,111 miles (Mothers Accord I-4 Car in December 2014) and the transmission due to very slow driving in a small town in a humid Gulf State caused erratic shifting and engine spin-up between some gears on occasion. One 3 quart change cleared/lessened most of the problems indicating that the 7 years change requirement in the manual is a definite change period due to shellacking and sticking in the valve body. A second 3 quart change 1,000 miles later cleared up almost every one of the problems and a third 3 quart change 2,000 miles later made it shift noticeably smoother. A 4th change recently at 33,000 miles now and now very much smoother shifting and no problems.

love shopping here! Please double check the specs for the ATF 2.0 vs 3.1 for the 5th gen odysseys. I believe the ones with the 9 speed ZF transmission (2018-2020 LX, EX, EX-L take the more expensive type 3.1 whereas the 10 speeds (2018-2020 elite/touring take Honda Type 2.

Bought 12 qts of DW1 and the difference was night and day on my 2008 Ridgeline transmission. Great product! I bought other Honda Genuine Fluids as well. Even with shipping, Bernardi beats Amazon's prices. Bernardi parts is a good company.

Always refer to your owner's manual for proper fluid type. My 2012 CR-V uses DW-1, and my 2016 uses HCF2 (replaces the 1st gen CVT fluid). This product range is actually cheaper than the Valvoline MaxLife ATF and CVT fluids which meet/exceeds the DW-1 and HCF-2 specifications! If you can get this stuff for $2 cheaper, you should go for it!
